Introducing ReQuake. Hailing from Dilbeek, Belgium they are set to drop their first release on Filthy Digital. Fresh off their Stupid Fly Records EP (SFLYD018), these bright young lads hype things up with 3 stompers.

‘Rub It’ commences with an uprising intro, cut up female vocal snips that leads into a choppy wobble drop that’ll get the steppers bobbing and weaving all over the dance floor. The seductive female vocal is introduced again with smoothed out pads leading back into the drop. Pure wobble roller bizz!

‘I Feel For You’ starts off with live syncopated drum hits building into a enjoyable wobble / synth bass combo accompanied by a high pitched female vocal hook with b-boy samples and congo drums. This one’s for the ladies’ crew.

‘Fools Good’ takes you on a journey through dub time with an intense hook synth intro that drops into sporadic wobble madness, chopped into various pieces annihilating the place. Dutty, city soundscapes and police sirens in the background give this tune it’s grimey feel.

I believe this guy needs no introduction but if ya don’t already know check him out. Hijack is one of my personal favorites. He is the first producer that caught my ear when I was a young listener. He is also the founder of Jack Union Records (releasing EP’s from the likes of Jeff Doubleu and Tom EQ (who have joined to recently form The Potato Heads)) I have had the pleasure of seeing one of his live shows and he ceases to amaze me.
